\par The ISS Reception numbers are intended to show the overall quality level of the radio reception between the Vantage console and the ISS or Wireless Anemometer station. The reception value is calculated from the number of wind speed samples received b
y the console (reported in the Wind Samp column of the data browser) divided by the expected number of packets that could have been received.

\par The expected number of packets is ca
lculated from the Transmitter ID and the archive interval. This value is an average value which has been rounded to an integer. The actual number of packet transmissions over an archive interval can be more or less than the calculated value depending on t
he phase relationship between the transmission clock and the data archive clock..

\par This means that it is possible to receive more than 100% of the expected packets in an archive interval, and that there is a small amount of "noise" in the calculated percentages.

\par The displayed reception value is limited to 100%.

\par In addition, the number of packets with wind speed data received by a VantagePro 2 system is approximately 3% more than the number received by a VantagePro 1 system. The software, however, uses th
e same "expected number of packets" for both systems which will result in a small overestimation of the ISS reception value for VantagePro 2 systems.
